  • This survey is open to all Manitobans who wish to share their views on the provincial education system and to help shape the future of Kindergarten to Grade 12 education in the province.

  • The feedback received will be part of the data collection that will inform the development of the commision's report.
  • The report will be submitted to the Government of Manitoba in February of 2020.

The responses of Manitobans to these survey questions will help the commission make recommendations to improve student outcomes and ensure a K to 12 education system that is well managed and accountable.

Manitoba's Commission on Kindergarten to Grade 12 Education
An Independent Review of the K to 12 Education System

The Manitoba Government has established a Commission of inquiry under The Public Schools Act to undertake a comprehensive, independent review of the kindergarten to Grade 12 education system.

The Commission is seeking the input of students, parents, educators, school boards, academics, Indigenous organizations, la francophonie, municipal councils, professional organizations, the business community, and members of the public, through public workshops, web based surveys, written submissions and briefs, public hearings, meetings with stakeholders, and collecting exemplary practices from teachers.

Your views and comments will be an important part the Commission’s review and will help the Commission develop its recommendations.

Any personal information you provide as part of this consultation is protected by The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Manitoba. The information that you provide will only be used to assist in the development of the Commission’s report. This will involve disclosing your views and comments to the Commission or a representative of the Commission. Your personal identity, including your name, will not be made public without your consent. But, please be aware that the identity of an organization may be made public in connection with its submission or comments.

If you provide your contact information through a written submission, a formal brief or the submission of an exemplary teaching practice, you may be contacted by a representative of the Commission to clarify your submission or comments. If you provide your name it will not be placed on any mailing lists unrelated to the Commission’s review.

Respondents to the public survey and the teacher survey will not be contacted or personally identified for any purposes.

The Commission’s authority to collect any personal information that you provide is authorized under section 36(1)(a) and (b) of The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
