In Manitoba, the CAEC is available to individuals who:
- have not completed high school,
- are nineteen (19) years of age, and
- are residents of the province.
Each age exemption request is considered on a case-by-case basis. Complete this form
and provide a detailed rationale explaining the age exemption request. The request
needs to address the following questions:
- What is the reason(s) for attempting the CAEC test series
before age 19?
- What has the candidate done to prepare and successfully
attempt the CAEC test series?
An age exemption for the CAEC in Manitoba is available to individuals who have been
home schooled. To apply
under the homeschool provision, complete this form and provide a
letter with the application from the home-school
liaison to all@gov.mb.ca, stating that the
candidate has completed the requirements for grade 12.
If a candidate is interested in taking the CAEC tests while
underage, the Parent/Guardian Information section must also be completed.
